Aisling is a graduate of Trinity College, Dublin and obtained a M.Litt with distinction in Healthcare Resource Management from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland before joining the NHS as a general management trainee.

Aisling’s NHS career spanned ten years during which time she undertook a number of senior management roles.  Her portfolio includes performance management, contract negotiation, service planning and development, and project management.

With a reputation for developing effective relationships with stakeholders and for successfully working across professional and organisational boundaries, Aisling has worked effectively with management and clinical colleagues in health, social services and the voluntary sector to implement various national policy initiatives.

Since 2005 Aisling has been working as a management consultant, working primarily with clients on the introduction of the new primary care contract and practice-based commissioning.
